Current Series: Exodus
Exodus is the book of escape. It tells how God freed his people from the cruel slavery of Pharaoh, King of Egypt. In doing so, it also tells us of the freedom Jesus has given us from all the sin, fear and guilt that so often destroys our lives.
Luke's Christmas Songs
Over Christmas 2010 and into the New Year 2011, we are looking at the four songs that Luke records as part of his history of that first Christmas. Our hope is that our hearts will sing for joy at the wonder of a God who came to us.

John's Gospel
John presents Jesus in all his glory as the living Word who shows us the glory, majesty and deep love of God for the world he made. He declares that Christ is the light that shines in the darkness - come to draw people lost and groping in the darkness to himself. He tells us that he is the way, the truth and the life - the source of all we crave and long for. He wrote his book so that people could believe in Jesus and have life through him – real, eternal life full of joy and hope. John knew Jesus personally and he wants us to share his awe, love and wonder at this greatest of all possible Gods.

James
James wrote his letter to churches scattered. This is the normal experience of Christians - dispersed, isolated, feeling alone and misunderstood. But it is no mistake, because it is in this unlikely soil that Jesus grows beautiful, strong, life-giving faith. That is a witness to the power of his love and the might of his grace. James starts his letter with the strange and seemingly impossible instruction to consider it joy when we face trials. Yet his letter makes sense of this unlikely possibility. This is the letter of faith when your back is against the wall. Thank God our Father for James!

Into 2012
We are starting 2012 with a five week series looking at some problems and issues we face as a church. This isn't to make us discouraged or introspective, but to help us see the blessings Jesus gives us and how we can fully enjoy them. It will be, we hope, an important series for setting the tone for us in 2012.

Thematic talks
Most of the talks we have at BroadGrace come from a section of the Bible. What we normally do as a church is choose a Bible book and then teach our way through it, or a section of it. This means that we are engaging with the whole of what the Holy Spirit has written about Jesus. Occasionally, though, we have a talk based on a theme, looking at how material from all over the Bible fits into that theme. Those talks are here.
